Knitted Arterial Prosthesis

MICROVELOUR® is a family of “knitted” type arterial prostheses, woven with  polyester multifilaments and impregnated with type I bovine collagen.
They have a permeability of less than 5 ml/cm²/min at 120 mmHg, dispensing with
need for pre-coagulation of the prosthesis, and allows its application even in  patients on systemic heparinization.

Its elasticity is given by a spiral accordion. A guideline allows  its best visualization, and helps to avoid twisting it.

The MICROVELOUR® family comprises straight, bifurcated or patch prostheses.

MICROVELOUR advantages

- They have excellent endothelialization
- Fast collagen absorption
- Permeability < 5 ml/cm²/min
- Great elasticity and flexibility
- Easy handling and suturing
- Extremely strong

“Barone Microvelour® is a strong graft,  with a healing rate and sequence  equivalent to other knitted grafts from  polyester."
